  1. Robyn says:

Ephesians 4:26-27 – – “In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold”. I’ve heard the phrase “don’t go to bed angry” and had no idea it originated from The Bible!

Ephesians 4:3 is written on my heart: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace”. Sometimes I choose NOT to listen and – oops! – I’ve made a mess of it. I must remember not to take things personally as this impairs discernment of situations and completely tears up any peace of mind for me and everyone else.

  2. CecileC says:

Ephesians 4:9-10 He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?
Pastor this is unclear this ascending and descending?

Ephesians 4:24 Because I have been created in the righteousness of God (once born-again), is the reason I do good, not the other way around. I took me a while because of the flesh to firgure this out.

I do not do good to be righteous, I am the righteousness of God and that is why I do good!! Praise God for His righteousness and for transforming me through His word.

    • GraceCN says:

I also get stuck on the ascending and descending.
As for Ephesians 4:24, I believe it is an ongoing process, putting off the old self and putting on the new. I believe that as we understand Jesus sacrifice and experience God’s love for us, we are propelled to be more like him. His love transforms us. The more I meditate on the word, the more I understand the love of God and am open to change. This is how I put off my old self.

    • Pastor Maurizio says:

Eph 4:7-10 refer to Jesus and what Jesus did. See also Rom 10:6-8. Do we believe that Jesus accomplished that? Through what He did He provided gifts for the church and for us. These gifts are received according to our beliefs, that is our faith or the the anointing of Christ in us.

  3. PeterCard says:

Eph 4:20-29 is loaded with good advice that will help anyone who believes that we have the power to change. “put off old bad conduct ” verse 20-22. ” Put on the new man” verse 4:23-24″. In verses 25-29 is a good list of common areas that we have all slipped into from time to time or are stuck in now. No matter, we have been give the grace we need to put off the old man and put on the new man. Praise the Lord.
