In Romans 11 Paul has once again brought a lot of insight on the interplay between the Gentiles and the and Israel. I got stuck on a few words in Romans 11:5-7. In verse 5 the work elect and and verse 7 the word elect is the same Greek word. These words give the sense that grace is available only for some. However the translations for these two words is also, make a choice, choose, selection. We choose to receive Gods grace`, we make a choice to obtain it. PTL

This weekend I will blog to clarify the “Doctrine of Election.” Taking one scripture or even a few does not give the whole picture on this subject. Come back Saturday and the whole post will be on that subject. I will use all the scriptures we need to resolve any confusion. At times, Paul is difficult to understand. God did not make us like puppets or robots He controls. He has given us the ability to want and to choose.
