Why to Read the Bible
Believers who feed their spirit daily with the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to them the truth in it (John 16:13) will grow in understanding, wisdom and freedom (Rom 12:1-3) as the Word directs their walk (Psa 119:105) and explains their experiences to them (Heb 4:12).

This Bible Reading blog is produced for the benefit of the members of Mount Zion – Church of the Firstborn, but it is available to anyone who would like to follow it.
About Us
Mount Zion – Church of the Firstborn is a Full Gospel congregation located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We are associated with the Evangelical Church Alliance Ministerial Fellowship of Canada
We believe:
- God’s unconditional love can be experienced by anyone who responds to it.
- This love was manifested by sending Jesus to die for our sins (John 3:16).
- In Jesus, God was reconciling the world to himself, no longer imputing our sins to us,
- When we believe that Jesus is the Son of God and is resurrected from the dead, we are born again (John 3:3).
- God has committed to us the message of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:19).
- We also believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and it is profitable for instruction, doctrine and correction (2 Tim 3:16-17) to live a blessed life.
- The Holy Spirit guides, teaches and empowers believers (John 16:13, Acts 1:8).
